A devastating fire broke out at a nightclub in North Macedonia, where over 1,000 people had gathered for a concert, killing at least 50 people, according to state news agency MIA. The tragedy unfolded late at night as flames quickly engulfed the packed venue, causing panic and chaos among attendees.

The blaze erupted in the early hours of Sunday at "Pulse", a nightclub where around 1,500 people had gathered for a concert by popular hip-hop duo DNK. The fire started at approximately 3 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), catching attendees off guard as they enjoyed the performance. Witnesses described scenes of panic and chaos as people rushed to escape the flames. Emergency services arrived swiftly, but the intensity of the blaze made rescue efforts difficult.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, though local media speculates that it may have been triggered by pyrotechnic devices used during the concert. The nightclub was still burning hours later, raising concerns about structural damage and the risk of further casualties.

Videos shared on social media capture the nightclub consumed by flames, with thick smoke rising into the sky.
