A fire broke out at the Pixar Pals Parking Structure inside California’s Disneyland Resort in Anaheim on Friday morning, causing damage to several vehicles and sending thick black smoke into the air. According to reports, six to twelve cars were affected in the incident, but fortunately, no one was injured.
The Anaheim Fire Department received an emergency call around 10 am local time about a car on fire inside the parking area. While authorities first suspected a Toyota RAV4 to be the source, officials later confirmed the fire started in a Kia Sportage SUV. The exact cause of the fire, however, is still under investigation.

Although the main theme park was not impacted by the fire, some operations within the resort were temporarily suspended. By early afternoon, the first three levels of the parking garage were reopened to the public.
The damaged vehicles suffered varying degrees of harm from minor smoke exposure to being completely undrivable, fire officials confirmed.
