Ather Electric Scooter: Bengaluru-based Ather Energy has teased a new feature that will be seen in its upcoming electric scooters. We already know that the company will be showcasing its much-awaited EL platform and concept vehicles on August 30, and the latest development focuses on a natural-language voice command functionality.
Ather's New Voice Command Feature Details
The upcoming voice command feature will be unveiled at the company's annual Community Day 2025. Anything else regarding this is currently under wraps, but we expect Ather to offer this feature through its Halo helmet, showcased at Ather Community Day 2024, along with the Rizta family scooter. To refresh your memory, the Ather Halo, with a battery life of approximately 10 days, features a Harman Kardon speaker integrated into the helmet shell, enabling riders to take phone calls on the fly and control music playback. The full-face helmet is priced at Rs 14,999.

Ather Community Day 2025: What Else Will Be There?
Besides the feature rollout, Ather will unveil its new concepts, some of which are expected to be based on the company's new 'EL' platform. The platform, according to Ather, is engineered to be more cost-effective, thus catering to a broader spectrum.

It is speculated that Ather's upcoming EL-based scooters will be positioned in the sub-Rs 1 lakh category to offset the fierce competition among Bajaj, TVS, Ola, and Vida. For context, Bajaj offers Chetak 3001 at Rs 99,990, while the Ola S1 Z starts at Rs 59,999 (introductory). Hero's latest Vida VX2 ranges from Rs 44,990 to Rs 57,990. All prices are ex-showroom.

Moreover, Ather will also debut an updated version of its software stack, called Ather Stack 7.0, and its new fast chargers.
