BMW R 1300 GS Bookings Open: BMW Motorrad is gearing up to launch the new R 1300 GS bike in the Indian market. Ahead of its official launch, some BMW Motorrad dealerships are now accepting advance bookings for the new model. According to a report by HT Auto, interested buyers can book the new BMW R 1300 GS by paying a token amount between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh. The bike's price is likely to be higher than the R 1250 GS, which currently costs around Rs 20.55 lakh.

BMW R 1300 GS - Engine Specs 

Talking about its engine, the BMW R 1300 GS is powered by a 1300 cc, two-cylinder boxer engine that is capable of producing a power output of 143 bhp and 149 Nm of torque. This engine is BMW's most powerful one ever used in a production motorcycle and is also lighter than the previous model. In terms of performance , this new model features a revamped suspension setup and chassis, resulting in a weight reduction of 12 kg compared to its predecessor. It comes with four standard riding modes - 'Rain' and 'Road' for different road conditions, 'Eco' for fuel efficiency, and 'Enduro' for off-road riding. Riders can also opt for additional 'Pro' modes.

BMW R 1300 GS - Features 

Talking about features on the upcoming BMW R 1300 GS, it boasts standard features such as Full Integral ABS Pro, Engine drag torque control, dynamic brake assist, ride-off assistant, Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Cruise Control, a USB socket and a 12 V outlet. Other optional features include a Riding Assistant with Active Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, and Lane Change Warning. The R 1300 GS gets heated grips as standard, however, a heated seat will bear additional cost. It is also offered with various seat options with different heights to suit different riders, along with a handlebar riser that raises the handlebar height by 30 mm.

BMW R 1300 GS - Hardware

Talking about its hardware, the R 1300 GS's suspension setup comprises a BMW Motorrad EVO-Telelever centre monoshock at the front and a BMW Motorrad EVO-Paralever at the rear. It also features a cast aluminium single-sided swingarm and a new frame design.
