New-Gen BMW X3 - Updates
Talking about the updates of the new-gen BMW X3, BMW has shared some details despite the camouflage seen in released images. They claim to have reduced the SUV's drag coefficient from 0.29 to 0.27, which would result in improved fuel efficiency. While specific dimensions are not yet disclosed, the new X3 is expected to surpass the previous model's 4.7-metre length and nearly 1.9-metre width. The new X3 will boast a more direct steering ratio, ensuring greater comfort while driving. BMW also promises advanced safety and driver assistance technologies, anticipating high scores in crash tests. In terms of interior of the new-gen BMW X3, it is expected to have fewer physical buttons, relying more on the touchscreen for accessing functions.
New-Gen BMW X3 - Variants
It is being speculated that there won't be a full X3 M model, but a high-performance M50 version is likely to be offered. Additionally, BMW might drop the 'i' suffix from its petrol engine lineup, continuing with 'd' for diesel and 'e' for plug-in hybrids. The manufacturer is likely to introduce hybrid variants as well with an upgraded battery pack for the plug-in hybrid variant (X3 xDrive30e) to offer more electric range.

The current X3 lineup starts at Rs 68.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and includes xDrive20d xLine and xDrive20d M Sport variants. While there's no official word on the new X3's launch in India, BMW is gearing up to introduce the all-new 5 Series and i5 in the country soon.
