Cars Used In Dhurandhar And Dhurandhar 2: Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 is performing strongly at the box office, and its worldwide box office collection has already crossed the 850 crore mark. While the movie is being praised for its intense action scenes and casting, the choice of vehicles for every character in the movie should also be praised. Let’s take a look at all the cars used in not just Dhurandhar 2, but in Dhurandhar as well.
Ranveer Singh/Hamza Ali Mazari
Hamza Ali Mazari or Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, is the protagonist of the movie, and the vehicles chosen for the character cleverly establish his position in the film. In Dhurandhar, Hamza was a strongman in the Rehman Dakait gang, someone who needed to be on the streets. Hence, the T120 is a ride that he could use to cut through the streets. But in Dhurandhar 2, he is the king of Lyari and needs to project his dominance. And this is the character of his new ride- The Hummer.

Jameel Jamali/ Rakesh Bedi
Jameel Jamali is a character of a very dexterous Pakistani politician, played by Rakesh Bedi. The character was seen driving a white Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a symbol of luxury, and it is often used as a chauffeur-driven car. However, notice closely, and you will observe that Jameel Jamali always sits in the front seat of the car, and not in the backseat, while the car is his own and it is being driven. This small detail marks Jameel Jamali as a person who likes to be in control and authority.

Rehman Dakait/Akshaye Khanna
Rehman Dakait or Rehman Baloch was the antagonist in Dhurandhar. The role was played by Akshaye Khanna, and he received massive praise for his menacing yet calm and chilling intensity. In Dhurandhar, Rehman Dakait used two cars: a maroon 1965 Ford Zodiac Mark 3 and a Toyota Land Cruiser LC 60. Rehman uses the Ford in the city, which establishes his image as an underworld don, and can be used in a high-speed chase. Notably, in the 1960s and 1970s, British underworld criminals were often portrayed with the Ford Zodiac Mark 3 in movies. On the other hand, Rehman uses a Toyota Land Cruiser LC 60 to visit Baloch fighters to establish his image as a mighty person who is fighting for the Baloch people’s rights in Pakistan.

SP Chaudhary Aslam/Sanjay Dutt
A White car with Hawa Hawa by Hassan Jahangir being played in the background suddenly stops, and Pakistan Police’s SP Chaudhary Aslam comes out of it. The role was played by Sanjay Dutt, and in my personal opinion, no one else could have done it better. SP Chaudhary Aslam drove a Lexus LX470 in Dhurandhar. The choice of the LX470 marks SP Chaudhary as a character who prioritises reliability. Additionally, SP Chaudhary is against Rehman Dakait, a notorious underworld criminal, and the character needs a car that can do off-road as efficiently as it can perform in a high-speed chase, and the LX470 ticks all these boxes.

Major Iqbal/Arjun Rampal
Major Iqbal is a powerful ISI personnel, who loves to ruthlessly torture Indian spies. Additionally, he also holds a significant position in the country’s political scenario. The character of Major Iqbal was played by Arjun Rampal, and he can be seen driving a Land Cruiser Defender. The Defender is often associated with powerful and resourceful people, and the same is the case with Major Iqbal. As a side character introduces Rehman Dakait to Major Iqbal by saying, ‘inki ijaazat ke bina Pakistan ki siyasat ka ek patta bhi nhi hil sakta.’ The Defender, as Major Iqbal’s car, is proof of this testament.

Special Mention: Suzuki Alto/Suzuki Mehran
Spoiler alert: if you haven’t yet watched the movie, please watch it first, as this might spoil it a little for you. One of India’s most popular cars, the Maruti Suzuki Alto, is Pakistan’s most popular car too, and there it is sold as Suzuki Alto or Suzuki Mehran. A Suzuki Alto filled with tons of RDX crashes with Aslam Chuadhary’s vehicle and kills him. Thus, the Suzuki Alto once again establishes itself as a legend by becoming the instrumental piece that killed the ‘Jinn’ of Dhurandhar, SP Chaudhary Aslam.
