South Korean automaker Kia has expanded the colour options for the base variant of its popular SUV, the Seltos. The Kia Seltos SUV is priced between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 20.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in India and competes with models like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in the compact SUV segment. The Kia Seltos HTE base variant is available at a price of Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

The HTE variant is now available with five additional exterior colours, bringing the total to seven. Previously, it was only available in Clear White and Sparkling Silver. The new colours include Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Intense Red, Gravity Grey and Aurora Black Pearl. The dual-tone colour options are available from the GTX+ variants onwards, with the top-end X-Line variant exclusively offering the Matte Graphite colour. The updates to the base variant's colour choices aim to provide customers with more options and enhance the overall appeal of the Seltos range.

Kia has been making significant strides in the Indian market with its Seltos SUV. The company has managed to carve a niche for itself in the competitive compact SUV segment. With its stylish design, comfortable interiors and reliable performance, the Seltos has become a popular choice among Indian buyers looking for a compact SUV. 

The HTE variant of the Kia Seltos is equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox that is capable of delivering a power output of 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque. Kia claims a fuel efficiency of 17 km/l for this variant.

In terms of safety, all Seltos variants come standard with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. While the base variant misses out on features like a digital driver display and LED headlights found in higher trims, it still offers a 4.2-inch colour TFT display and halogen projector headlights.
