Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid Will Offer Enhanced Mileage Compared To Last-Gen Variant; What We Know

Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid: Maruti Suzuki, one of India's leading car manufacturers, is gearing up to launch the new 2024 Swift hatchback in the country. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to offer improved mileage compared to the current model. Media reports suggest that the new Swift will be more fuel-efficient and details about its engine have already been leaked ahead of its official launch.

According to media reports, the new 2024 Swift is expected to deliver an impressive mileage of 25.72 kilometres per litre of petrol. This represents a significant increase of 14 to 15 per cent compared to the previous generation Swift, translating to approximately 3.3 kilometres more per litre. 

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 will be equipped with a new 1.2-litre Z series petrol engine with mild hybrid technology. This engine, featuring three cylinders, is designed to deliver a power output of 81.6 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. This engine will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, although details about an automatic variant are yet to be disclosed.The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift adopts a mild hybrid technology compared to its predecessor's conventional engine. 

Both engines boast a 1197 cc engine capacity, but the new Swift opts for a three-cylinder configuration instead of the previous four-cylinder setup. Despite a slight reduction of 8.2 bhp in power and 1 Nm in torque compared to the old Swift, the new model's efficiency is significantly improved, promising a mileage of 25.72 kmpl.

Maruti Suzuki has commenced the bookings for the updated 2024 Swift ahead of its official launch that is scheduled to take place on May 9. Interested customers can book the new hatchback by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000 on Maruti Suzuki’s official website or through its Arena dealerships.
