Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: Congress candidate Satish Kumar, also known as Mantan Singh, officially withdrew his nomination from the Warisaliganj Assembly constituency. He submitted his withdrawal application to the Returning Officer, Gaurav Shankar, before the 3 PM deadline on the final day for nomination withdrawals.

A closely contested “friendly fight” between the two major Mahagathbandhan parties, Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), was expected in the Warisaliganj Assembly constituency. However, Congress candidate Satish Kumar withdrew his nomination on Thursday, ending the friendly fight in Warisaliganj ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

A total of 14 nominations were filed for the Warisaliganj Assembly constituency, out of which four were rejected. With the withdrawal of Congress’s Satish Kumar, only nine remain in the fray. Among them, BJP’s Aruna Devi is contesting from the Warisaliganj seat, Jagran.com reported.
