Bank Holiday Today: Several of the bank customers are not sure whether the banks will remain closed or open on Saturday, November 15. The customers plan their days accordingly and decide whether to visit the banks on Saturday or to postpone it further for weekdays. Several of the working professionals prefer to visit banks on Saturday to complete several works, including submitting documents, updating KYC details, operating locker facilities, or resolving account-related issues. While the offline bank services are not available for the customers on the holidays, they have the option of using online services.

The banks will continue to operate on November 15, as it is the third Saturday of the month, not the second. Apart from Sundays and the mentioned holidays in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, the banks are usually closed on second and fourth Saturdays. The reserve bank mentions national and regional festivals in its calendar to decide the functioning of banks.

The annual list of bank holidays is determined jointly by the RBI and the respective state governments and released on the central bank’s official website for information to financial institutions and the public. The RBI calendar suggests that the banks across the country will remain closed on November 22.

Digital Banking Services To Remain Unaffected

Even when the banks are closed on holidays, customers can carry out transactions via online and mobile banking, ATMs, and UPI payments without interruption. Fund transfer via NEFT, RTGS, and other electronic channels remains operational. The RBI has advised the customers to follow the guidelines and plan their day accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
