DC-W vs GG-W WPL 2025: Harleen Deol hasn't played for India in the shortest format after July last year. During the WPL 2025 clash against DC on Friday, the youngster strengthened her case to get selected again to play in this format. She did impress everyone in her comeback to the ODI side in December last year.
During the clash against Delhi Capitals in Lucknow, the No.3 batter scored an unbeaten match-winning knock of 70 runs off 49 balls and helped her team win the nail-biting thriller. Gujarat Giants chased down the target of 178 runs in 19.3 overs with five wickets remaining.
Harleen's knock sidelined Meg Lanning's valiant knock of 92 runs during the first innings. Openers Beth Mooney and Harleen had set the foundation of this tricky chase as they stitched a partnership of 85 runs for the second wicket. When Beth Mooney mistimed the shit in Minnu Manis' over, Gujarat Gianst didn't hit the panic button. Skipper Ashleigh Gardner came into bat and smashed a few sixes but then Shikha Pandey took her wicket.

Harleen and Deandra Dottin continued to smash boundaries. Harleen also scored her fifty off 38 balls by smashing a four.
DC skipper Meg Lanning starred with the bat. She was dropped on 47 as Harleen Deol couldn't complete the stunning catch. When Lanning had smashed Tanuja Knawer for a six towards the mid-off during the 12th over, the ball went past Harleen. Although she did jump in the air and dove towards her right to take the catch, the ball fell from her hands although she again tried to take the catch she fell. Once her hands had touched the ground, the ball fell from her hand.
