SKY and Parag add fuel to the fire

Suryakumar Yadav was equally lethal. The India T20I skipper maintained his calm as he too scored a brilliant knock of 79 runs off 35 balls. Riyan Parag was the new batter, who too scored a brilliant knock of 34 runs off just 13 balls. Hardik Pandya also took advantage of the batter-friendly pitch as he scored 47 runs off 18 balls. The host's batting lineup looked like a dream that day as they had posted a mammoth target of 297 runs.

Bangladesh under the pump

Chasing this target was, anyway, going to be impossible for the Bangla Tigers. They had a disappointing start to their chase. They suffered an early batting collapse. Litton Das did try to help the team bounce back by scoring a gritty knock of 42 runs off 25 balls, and Towhid Hridoy also put up a valiant fight. He had scored a brilliant knock of 63 runs and played the role of a lone warrior.

Indian bowlers close the deal

India's star pacer Mayank Yadav was the pick among the bowlers as he had taken two wickets, whereas Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets. Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy also took wickets at regular intervals. The visitors were skittled out for 167 runs and lost the match by 133 runs.
