India vs South Africa 2nd ODI: India were put to bat first in the 2nd ODI after they lost another toss in the format, taking their total to 20 straight losses in the format. As per a report, the probability of losing as many as 20 tosses in a row stands at a staggering 1 in 1,048,576 (0.000095%), which can be termed as bad luck.

Before stand-in captain KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Rohit Sharma failed to break the record for the country.

Rahul at the toss informed about no change in the playing XI from the previous match, which India won by 11 runs. Courtesy of this win, India lead the series 1-0 in the three-match series.

South Africa made three changes to the playing XI, including Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi and Bavuma himself after the skipper missed the first match. They have replaced Prenelan Subrayen, Ryan Rickelton and Ottniel Baartman.

South Africa, after opting to bowl first, got rid of both Indian openers - Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rohit managed to score 14 as he fell to Nandre Burger. On the other hand, Jaiswal ended his struggle with a 38-ball 22, falling to Marco Jansen's bouncer.

Currently, Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad are occupying the crease with a 50-run stand.
