Kohli's exceptional form continued unabated as Marco Jansen delivered a fullish ball, which the star batter adeptly knocked down to long-on for a single, securing his 53rd ODI century.

The moment he concluded the run, Kohli erupted in excitement, jumping and punching the air, and triumphantly raised his arms, helmet flying off in jubilation.

Kohli's 53rd ODI ton sent the internet into meltdown as the avid fans could not stop themselves from singing the praises of the batting bigwig.

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians took to their X handle and sang the praises of Kohli. The five-time IPL champions wrote on X, "Consistency ka dusra naam Virat Kohli."

One fan on X wrote, "VIRAT KOHLI IS COMING TO RULE 2027 WORLD CUP IN SOUTH AFRICA."
