IND-A vs SA-A 1st Unofficial Test: Two brilliant fours and a nothing shot summed up Rishabh Pant's knock of 17 runs, which also affected India's 234 all-out against South Africa A on day 2 of the 1st unofficial Test match. Post skittling the visitors out for 309, the hosts were 299/9 till the first session and then suffered a collapse by off-spinner Prenelan Subrayen and had leaked a lead of 75.

The youngster Ayush Mhatre played the role of a lone warrior.

During the second innings, the visitors were 30/0, and the lead went beyond 105 runs. Jordan Hermann (12) and Lesego Senokwane (9) were out there till stumps, and that's how the visitors dominated.

PANT THROWS IT AWAY

And just as expected, Pant's knock only made the day interesting.

He did a brilliant job as wicketkeeper in his comeback match after three months, but couldn't do the same with the bat.

He started his knock with a huge six in fast bowler Tshepo Moraki's over and then hit a 4 in Subrayen's over.

He then hit Moraki for a four and was at his absolute best.

But one bad shot ended his knock. He was in two minds as to whether he should leave the ball or cut it, but he ended up giving the ball to Zubayr Hamza.
