India vs South Africa Test Series: The World Test Championship titleholders, South Africa, will take on India in a two-match Test series, scheduled to start on November 14. The challenge for the Temba Bavuma-led side will be daunting as India possess an incredible record in the format at their home. If one sets aside the 3-0 whitewash against New Zealand, India have been a consistent side over the past 10-15 years.
Before the debacle against New Zealand, India lost their last Test series (2-1) against England in 2012. South Africa, on the other hand, have lost their previous two series in India by a margin of 3-0 (2015 and 2019).
However, South Africa have a bright chance to earn a series win in India with the Shubman Gill-led side currently under transition post the departure of stalwarts like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin.
