West Indies Cricket Team vs New Zealand National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Another anti-climactic end to a T20I match as rain has forced a washout in the fourth match of the ongoing series between New Zealand and the West Indies on Monday. Due to this washout, New Zealand maintain their 2-1 lead in the T20I series with the final match to take place on November 13.

New Zealand won the toss at Saxton Oval on Monday and invited the Windies to bat first. However, constant delays due to incessant rain ensured that only 6.3 overs could be bowled. West Indies were 38-1 when the final rain delay took place.

It is worth noting that the West Indies started the series on a winning note by seven runs, with the hosts clinching the second and third T20I by three runs and the third on Sunday by nine runs respectively.

The final match of the series will be played at University Oval, Dunedin, on Thursday.

After the game was washed out, West Indies captain Shai Hope said, "We didn't really get a chance to get out there and maximise in this game, but we've still got a chance to level the series and that's our main focus for the next one."

"Unfortunately, we didn't win those last two games. But every time you put yourself in this position, you've obviously got a chance to win. So I'm very happy with the progress that we're making," he added.

On the other hand, New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner expressed his desire to be part of a good contest in Dunedin.

"There's learnings in both games for both teams. We go to Dunedin, like you said, it's probably going to be a bit colder. But, probably another good surface and probably another good match, to be fair," Santner said.
