IND vs WI 1st Test: India's star all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is seen in action in the first Test match against West Indies. Post getting dismissed for an 11-ball duck during the first innings, Chanderpaul scored eight runs off 23 balls.
Nitish took the stunning catch in the second ball of the eighth over, which was bowled by Mohammed Siraj.

Chanderpaul's wicket was Siraj's fifth in this Test match. He has taken 4 wickets and conceded 40 runs during the first innings.
No batting for NKR
Reddy, who had smashed his first Test ton in 2024 at the MCG against the Pat Cummins-led side, didn't bat during the first innings. He was supposed to bat at the No.8 position even before his chance could come, the host had declared their innings.
India declare
The Shubman Gill-led side had declared their innings at 448/5 and were leading by 286 runs against the West Indies on day 3.
KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, and Ravindra Jadeja smashed tons each.
The reason why the host declared overnight was to take advantage of any assistance the pitch had to offer.
