India vs Ireland T20Is Get New Start Time to Avoid Women’s T20 World Cup Clash

The scheduled timings for India vs Ireland T20Is have been changed to avoid a direct timing clash with the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 matches. The timings have been moved one hour earlier. The matches will now begin at 1:30 pm local time (6 pm IST) instead of the usual 2:30 pm local time (7 pm IST).

Notably, the change was made to avoid a direct clash with the India vs Australia match in the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which is set to start at 7 pm IST on Sunday. The two-match T20I series between India and Ireland will take place on June 26 and June 28.

According to a Cricbuzz report, Cricket Ireland discussed the matter with its Indian broadcast partner. Both sides agreed to bring the start time forward by an hour so that fans could follow both the Women’s World Cup game and the India-Ireland T20I with minimal overlap.

The BCCI have already announced India's squad for the Ireland series, and this will be Shreyas Iyer's first assignment as regular T20I skipper and the BCCI removed Suryakumar Yadav from the captaincy after his lean patch from the bat. Apart from that, young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also been included in the senior squad for the first time.

There is a chance Sooryavanshi will be seen in action in the T20Is against Ireland, as this is a good opportunity to go with the 15-year-old batter, considering the opponents.
