India vs Pakistan, ICC Women's World Cup 2025: India defeated Pakistan by 88 runs in match 6 of the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2025 at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday. This was India's second win in the tournament.
As soon as Deepti Sharma landed the final blow with Sadia Iqbal's dismissal (0), the Indian players were quick to leave the field, as there were no handshakes between the players of both teams. India have extended their dominance over Pakistan in the ODIs, making it 12-0 when it comes to head-to-head battle.
The Women in Blue bowled Pakistan out for 159 runs in 43 overs and have jumped to the top of the standings with four points under their belt. The tone was set by Kranti Gaud, who got the better of Sadaf Shamas (6) and Aliya Riyaz (2) to reduce Pakistan to 26/3. Muneeba Ali was unfortunate to suffer an unusual run-out dismissal as she headed back to the pavilion for 2.

Sidra Amin kept things alive for Pakistan for a long while, stitching a promising partnership of 69 runs for the fourth wicket. It was Kranti once again who provided the much-needed breakthrough as she removed Natalia Pervaiz for 33 runs in the 28th over.

While Pakistan kept losing wickets at one end, Sidra looked settled at the other. However, her fight of 81 runs came to an end in the 40th over as she was dismissed by Sneh Rana. Notably, Kranti finished with the match-winning figures of 3/20 in her 10 overs, whereas Deepti Sharma also took three wickets. Rana found a couple of scalps as well.
Earlier, India posted a challenging total of 247 in their 50 overs after being put into bat first. Harleen Deol was the star performer for the Women in Blue with the bat, having scored 46 runs in 65 balls, whereas skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (19) had a disappointing outing.
Richa Ghosh provided the finishing touches as she ended up producing an unbeaten knock of 35 runs, hitting three fours and a couple of sixes.
