IND-W vs SA-W Women's ODI World Cup 2025: A balanced surface will help the Indian batters a lot during their net World Cup match. The host batters were seen struggling to score runs during their first two matches, and will get a lot of help with a batting surface in the match against South Africa and Australia.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side did win their first two matches against teams like Sri Lanka and Pakistan. They won these matches with the help of brilliant bowling performances since batters could do little. The Women in Blue will lock horns with South Africa in their next match and then face Australia on October 12, which is a better team than Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
“The pitch will offer good help to batters. If you look at the last few matches here, including the IPL, the bowlers — especially spinners — if there is no dew, will have some assistance as the match progresses,” an ACA was quoted as saying to PTI.

This is the first time in 11 years that a women's ODI match is being held at this venue, as the last match was held against Sri Lanka. The last few T20Is being held here have seen some mammoth targets where both the Indian teams and DC have chased targets of more than 200 runs.
As far as men's ODIs are concerned, the host had posted the mammoth target of 387/5 against the West Indies way back in 2019, and it was the highest total at this venue. The target of 320 runs has been posted more than 4 times, and six times the target has been posted of 280 and 299 runs.
The host will be taking care of these stats carefully, post scoring a target of 269 against Sri Lanka and 247 against Pakistan.
