LSG vs PBKS IPL 2026: Mukul Chaudhary has emerged as one of the standout finds for Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing season, and he shared how he adapted to the high-pressure environment of one of the world's biggest franchise leagues. After excelling in the domestic tournament and stepping up for the Lucknow-based franchise as a middle-order batter, he revealed that the mental strength demanded by this tournament surpasses that required in domestic tournaments.

"There is more mental pressure in the IPL because more people are watching you. In some ways, things are easier here because you know the opposition bowlers, their strengths, and their plans. You have video analysis and data to prepare. In domestic cricket, you don't have all that,” Mukul was quoted as saying to JioStar.

The youngster emphasized that although their preparation in the cash-rich league involves meticulous planning, the spotlight and expectations have challenged them.

"But the pressure comes from performing on a big stage in front of a huge audience, especially when you are new to the IPL. There is a little mental pressure. But if you stay calm and stick to your processes, it becomes manageable here too,” he added.

He has performed brilliantly this year, attacking bowlers aggressively under pressure, and he was praised for maintaining composure even after playing several matches. Discussing his debut match against the Axar Patel-led side, he mentioned that joining the playing XI was not initially on his mind.

"I had no idea I would play the first match. I wasn't fully prepared for it. When I was told I might get a chance, and then finally that I was in the playing XI, my reaction was simple: 'Yes, I am playing.'” He said.

He highlighted that constant preparation during practice sessions fortified his mental readiness for that opportunity.

"Mentally, I was ready because I knew I had to do my job. You can't worry about when the opportunity will come. It can come at any time. So I kept preparing,” he said.

He explained how he navigated the electrifying atmosphere during an IPL match—overflowing stadiums, whirling cameras, and live TV coverage—as he adapted to the experience.

"When I walked out for the real game, I didn't feel much difference. The only new things were the crowd, the cameras, and being on live television. That created a little pressure, but it was manageable. I was ready for it,” he concluded.
