Patna | Jagran Education Desk: The result of class 10 Bihar Secondary Examination Board (BSEB) has been declared. The announcement was made via a press release by state Education Minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Varma in the presence of BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore. Nearly 15 lakh students had appeared in board exams this year. Himanshu Raj topped the exams with 481 marks.
Candidates who had appeared in the examination are advised to visit the official websites -- onlinebseb.in and biharboardonline.com to check their scorecard. All you need to do is submit your credentials and the results will flash on your screens.
The Bihar Board had completed the evaluation process on May 17, following which it carried out the physical verification of the toppers which included matching of the hand-writing and an IQ Test. The state government had earlier announced that it would reward the toppers with Rs 1,200 per month for two years to help them in their higher education.
Here's how you can check your class 10th board results online:
Step 1) Go to the official website of the Bihar Secondary Education Board (BSEB) at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, biharboarodnline.com or onlinebseb.in
Step 2) Go to the homepage and click on "Class 10 Result" link
Step 3) You would need to fill your credentials like your roll number, date of birth and other details
Step 4) The result would appear on the screen
Step 5) Following this you are advised to download your result and take a print out for future reference
Apart from the official website of the Bihar Board, candidates can also check their results on third-party websites like indiaresults.com and examresults.net.
According to the Bihar Board officials, 15,29,393 candidates -- 7,46,361 boys and 7,83,032 girls -- appeared for the examination out of which 12,04,030 passed the exams. With this, the passing percentage for the Bihar Board class 10th exams was 80.59 per cent. The passing percentage was 80.73 per cent in 2019 while it was 68.89 per cent in 2018 and 50.12 per cent in 2017.
The board officials further said that the class 10th exams were conducted from February 17 to February 24 at various test centres across the state.
