BPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the recruitment process for Assistant Professors in the Bihar Health Department. The BPSC, in its official notice, stated that the appointment to 1,339 vacant posts of Assistant Professors has been postponed with immediate effect. Candidates can check the postponement notification at bpsc.bih.nic.in.
"Departmental letter no. 34/2024 to 56/2024 published on 20.06.2024 for appointment to a total of 1339 vacant posts of Assistant Professor under 23 departments (specialties) in the medical colleges and hospitals of the state under the Health Department, Bihar. -649 (17), dated 22.07.2024, is postponed with immediate effect," reads the notification.

The recruitment drive, conducted by the Bihar Health Department, aimed to fill a total of 1,339 Assistant Professor vacancies in 23 different specialties across medical universities and colleges in Bihar.

BPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Master’s degree: Candidates must hold a master’s degree in a relevant discipline from an Indian university with a minimum of 55 per cent marks. Alternatively, an equivalent qualification from a recognised foreign university is also acceptable.
National Eligibility Test (NET): In addition to holding a master’s degree, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), or an equivalent test accredited by the UGC, such as the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) or the State Eligibility Test (SET).
