CLAT 2025 First Merit list Released: The much-awaited Common Law Admission Test - Undergraduate (CLAT-UG) 2025 is now released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) today on their official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Those students who appeared for the examination can check the first merit list of the CLAT 2025.
CLAT 2025 First Merit list OUT:
The NLU-wise list can be checked on the website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in by those candidates only who finished counseling registration by May 21, 2025. The deadline for confirming or upgrading accepted seats is May 30, 2025.
The candidates must choose Freeze, Float, or Exit options and pay an online fee of ₹20,000 confirmation fee by May 30. The second list will be released on June 4, 2025 on the official website. The CLAT 2025 examination was conducted on December 1, 2024, for seeking admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes across participating NLUs. The students must note down that Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) have also released their separate first allotment lists on the CLAT official website.
According to the official notification, the students must note down that 'If a candidate has chosen only 15 preferences, then he/she will be considered only for allotment in those fifteen preferences and not to any other NLUs, even if vacancies are available.’
Steps to download the CLAT 2025 First Merit List:
Step: 1: The students have to visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in, the official website to download the merit list PDF.
Step: 2: There will be a tab for ‘CLAT 2025 First Merit List’ available on the homepage.
Step: 3: The students have to click the CLAT allotment list link in the notification area.
Step: 4: Submit to proceed and the PDF of the CLAT 2025 merit list will appear on the screen.
Step: 5: Do not forget to save the CLAT merit list 2025 PDF for future reference.
CLAT 2025 First Allotment List Out: Freeze, Float & Exit Option
The counselling process for CT UG 2025 will be conducted in three rounds. The candidates whose names appear in the first allotment list can select one of the following options and pay the confirmation fee of ₹20,000 by May 30, 2025:
Freeze: Students can choose this option if they are satisfied with the allotted NLU and do not wish to participate in the next rounds.
Float: The students can choose this option if they want to wait for a better preference NLU in the upcoming rounds.
Exit: If students wish to leave the counselling process, they can also choose to exit. However, the confirmation fee already paid will be forfeited.
