GATE 2025 Registration: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has moved the registration deadline for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 to August 28. Interested applicants may apply for the GATE 2025 exam on the official website of GATE at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The GATE 2025 registration window without a late charge will conclude on September 26, 2024.

The entire registration process for GATE 2025, including the late charge, will expire on October 7. Previously, the GATE 2025 registration window was slated to open on August 24.

According to the timetable, the GATE 2025 exam will take place in two sessions on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 at different exam centres throughout the country. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted in two shifts: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The GATE exam is administered for admission to Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other institutes/universities in India. Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and State Electricity Boards (SEBs) use GATE to recruit trainee engineers and scientists for group C-level positions.

The GATE 2025 results will be announced on March 19. To get the GATE 2025 results, candidates must provide their login information, which includes their registration number and date of birth.

GATE 2025 application fee

To successfully qualify for the GATE 2025 exam, applicants must first pay the GATE 2024 application cost. The cost is Rs 900 for aspirants from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Female categories. For all other candidates, the registration fee is Rs 1,800. The GATE 2025 application cost must be paid online using a credit, debit card, or net banking.
