Ten Indian universities have been featured in the Global Employability University Rankings (GEURS) 2025, showcasing their strength in producing highly employable graduates. IIT Delhi leads the Indian contingent, securing the 28th spot globally out of 250 institutions. It is followed by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) at rank 47, IIT Bombay at 60, IIT Kharagpur at 141, and IIM Ahmedabad at 160. Other Indian universities in the rankings include IIT Madras (rank 214), University of Delhi (rank 219), Amity University (rank 225), Anna University (rank 237), and Bangalore University (rank 249).
On the global stage, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) retained the top two positions.
Published by Times Higher Education (THE) and compiled by French consultancy Emerging, the GEURS 2025 report evaluates universities based on their ability to produce employable graduates, as assessed by global recruiters. The report highlights that employers are increasingly valuing work experience and internships alongside academic credentials, emphasising adaptability and practical skills as critical factors in hiring decisions. Among Indian institutions, IIT Delhi emerged as the highest-ranked, reinforcing its reputation for graduate employability.
