JKSSB Constable 2024 Recruitment: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) will finish the registration process for Constable positions on September 7, 2024. Interested applicants can apply online for JKSSB constable 2024 on the official website of JKSSB at jkssb.nic.in. The JKSSB recruitment drive seeks to fill a total of 4,002 constable positions within the institution.

The application process for Constable positions began on August 8, 2024. Those who are interested will have to pay a Rs 700 application fee. The cost for applicants belonging to the SC, ST-1, ST-2, and EWS categories would be Rs 600.

The JKSSB constable application fee can be paid online using net banking, credit or debit cards. Applications sent without the specified fee will be rejected outright.

JKSSB Constable 2024 Selection process

The selection procedure for the JKSSB Constable 2024 normally consists of the following steps:

1. Physical Standard Test (PST)

Applicants must meet specific physical standards, such as height, chest dimensions (for male candidates), and weight restrictions, according to the official statement.

2. Physical Endurance Test (PET)

This comprises tasks that assess an applicant's physical fitness, such as jogging, long jump, and high jump.

3. Written Examination

Applicants who pass the PST and PET will have to take a written test.

4. Document Verification

- The test often comprises objective-type questions covering themes such as General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and General English.

- Shortlisted applicants from the written exam will be invited for document verification, where they must produce valid educational and identification credentials.

5. Medical Examination

Applicants who pass the document verification phase will be subjected to a medical check to ensure their suitability for the post.

6. Final Merit List

A merit list will be created based on the results of the physical tests and writing examination. The applicant's rank on the merit list will determine their final selection.
