NEET UG Final Results 2024: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised the Supreme Court's decision regarding the NEET-UG issue on Tuesday, stating that truth has prevailed. He also announced that the final results of the medical entrance exam will be released within two days.

The Supreme Court dismissed the pleas for cancellation and re-testing of the controversy-ridden 2024 NEET-UG, stating there was no evidence to conclude that the exam was compromised due to any "systemic breach" of its sanctity.

The interim verdict, to be followed by a detailed and reasoned order, provided significant relief for the embattled BJP-led NDA government and the National Testing Agency (NTA). Both entities had been facing strong criticism and protests, both on the streets and in Parliament, over alleged large-scale malpractices, including question paper leaks, fraud, and impersonation in the prestigious test held on May 5.

"'Satyamev Jayate'. Truth has prevailed," Pradhan said at a press conference here, welcoming the court's decision.

The Centre maintained that there was no large-scale leak, and the Supreme Court has upheld this position, he stated. He added that the government has zero tolerance for any kind of breach, emphasising that the sanctity of exams is "supreme for us."

If anybody is found involved in exam irregularities, they will not be spared, the education minister said.

Pradhan announced that the NTA will release the final NEET-UG results within two days and added that the exam's merit list will be revised based on the Supreme Court's observations.
