SSC JE 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the dates for the junior engineer (JE) paper 2 exams 2024 for civil, mechanical, and electrical positions. According to the official announcement, the SSC JE paper 2 will be held on November 6, 2024. Those who pass the SSC JE paper 1 will be entitled to proceed to the next step.
Applicants who have passed the SSC JE Paper 1 exam and are eligible for Paper 2 can apply for the SSC JE 2024 Paper 2 test via the official website, ssc.gov.in.
The commission has increased the number of Junior Engineers openings to 1,765. Initially, the SSC recruiting drive sought to fill 968 Junior Engineer vacancies in the civil, mechanical, and electrical domains.
“The Commission has decided to conduct the Paper-II of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2024 on 6th day of November 2024,” the official notice read.

Applicants for the SSC JE selection procedure must complete Papers 1 and 2, as well as document verification. SSC JE Paper 2 will include 100 multiple-choice questions from the civil, electrical, and mechanical streams. Each successful response will receive three points, while each erroneous answer will result in a one-third mark deduction. The exam will last 120 minutes.
The SSC JE Paper 1 test 2024 took place on June 5, 6, and 7, with the results released on August 20, 2024. The SSC JE Paper 1 scorecard 2024 was announced on August 22, and applicants can download their scorecards until September 5, at 6 p.m.
According to the SSC JE paper 1 results, 16,223 applicants have qualified for the SSC JE 2024 paper 2 exam. 11,765 are suitable for civil engineering jobs, while 4,458 are qualified for electrical and mechanical engineering roles.
