Sayani Gupta, who starred in Margarita With A Straw, Inside Edge, and Four More Shots Please, recently recalled an unsettling moment on set when her co-star 'lingered on a kiss' even after the director yelled 'cut.' The 39-year-old actor emphasized the value of intimacy coordinators in movies and television in an interview while promoting her film, Khwaabon Ka Jhamela.

Sayani Gupta said she was happy to see Bollywood moving forward by employing intimacy coordinators, much like the West, because she believes it helps preserve limits during shoots. In a recent interview with Radio Nasha, the Call Me Bae actress used some unsettling instances from her experience where a co-actor continued kissing in an act of 'inappropriate behavior,' even after the director had called 'cut,' to illustrate the necessity of intimacy coordinators.

Even while Sayani Gupta didn't reveal any names, she recalled, "Having said that, a lot of people also take advantage, and I have been in situations where an actor will linger the kiss even after a cut, and you are like 'uhhh,' and sometimes it's very subtle, but that's just indecent behavior."

Sayani Gupta also talked about another awkward moment in her career. The actress recalled feeling exposed when she was required to lie on the beach in a short dress on the sand in front of 70 people, including the cast and crew whilst filming the first season of Four More Shots Please! She wanted someone nearby with a shawl to assist her as soon as the scene was cut, but that arrangement did not exist.

"I felt so vulnerable at that point because there were some 70 men standing in front of me. There was not one person on set who was next to me, there wasn't even much staff also… with 800 extras. I was like, 'I just need one person to be with a shawl.' There's many a times when an actor's safety, or anyone's safety, is the last thing on anyone's minds. It doesn’t have to be an intimate scene but sometimes your boundaries are compromised which is a general mindset that needs to be expanded, " Sayani said.

Meanwhile, Sayani Gupta stars alongside Prateik Babbar in Khwaabon Ka Jhamela. The romantic comedy released in November 8th on JioCinema.
