Bha Bha Ba Box Office Prediction: On December 18, Malayalam actor Dileep's film Bha Bha Ba (Bhayam, Bhakthi, Bahumanam) is set to be released, only days after he was acquitted in the controversial 2017 actor assault case. Can this movie save a failing career in the face of growing public objections? For those who are uninitiated, Dileep was arrested in 2017 in relation to the Malayalam actor assault case, where he was charged with masterminding the entire episode. He spent 85 days in prison. The actor had multiple releases nearly annually after his name was listed as the eighth accused in the case. After he was found not guilty, Dileep retaliated against his ex-wife, Manju Warrier, for instigating a plot against him.

All About Dileep's Upcoming Bha Bha Ba

Bha Bha Ba is a two-hour and forty-five-minute fast-paced Malayalam movie that explores the lives of three interconnected people, one of whom is a con artist who defrauds everyone in his path without ever being discovered. Dileep, Mohanlal, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Sandy Master, Balu Varghese, Baiju Santhosh, Salim Kumar, Saranya Ponvannan, Siddharth Bharathan, Ashokan, Devan, and Redin Kingsley are among the cast members of this comic action thriller, which was directed by rookie Dhananjay Shankar.

Will Bha Bha Ba Open Strong?

Bha Bha Ba has made Rs 1.85 crore in pre-sales, according to the Kerala Box Office. The Malayalam film's main selling point is Mohanlal's appearance. According to renowned Keralan trade expert AB George, the area is getting closer to gross collection of Rs 2 crore.

For those who don't know, Dileep's biggest releases to date were Ramaleela (2017) at Rs 2.10 crore and Kammara Sambhavam (2018) at Rs 2.08 crore.

Meanwhile, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has come under fire from Bhagyalakshmi, who called him 'insensitive' and 'thoughtless' for disseminating promotional materials for Dileep's next movie Bha Bha Ba soon after Dileep was found not guilty in the 2017 actress assault case. Following a panel discussion on gender and power in Indian cinema, Bhagyalakshmi addressed the media on the fringes of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

Bhagyalakshmi said, "Did Mohanlal even pause for a moment before sharing that poster right after the verdict? We heard him repeatedly say, I pray for her (the survivor). When someone with that kind of influence does this, what message is being sent to survivors?" She continued, "This is not about cinema alone anymore. This is about ethics. It is about what we choose to endorse publicly."
