Bridgerton Season 4: The highly anticipated upcoming season of Bridgerton has finally revealed its leading lady, and it’s none other than Yerin Ha, who will portray Sophie Beckett. Yerin Ha, known for her roles in Halo and the upcoming Dune: Prophecy series, is set to star alongside Luke Thompson, who reprises his role as Benedict Bridgerton.
In this new season, Benedict’s carefree life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters the mysterious Lady in Silver at a masquerade ball hosted by his mother, Violet Bridgerton. Fans of Julia Quinn’s books will recognize this Lady in Silver as Sophie Beckett, Benedict’s love interest. The storyline in Season 4 will closely follow the plot of Quinn’s third novel, An Offer From a Gentleman, where Sophie is introduced as the secret daughter of an earl and one of his maids. Raised in her father’s home but never acknowledged as his child, Sophie’s journey is one of romance, secrecy, and intrigue.
Yerin Ha’s casting marks a significant moment in the show, reflecting her belief in the importance of diversity in the entertainment industry. In a 2019 interview with Vogue, Ha spoke about the challenges of Asian representation in media, expressing hope for more inclusive storytelling in the future.
