Miss World 2024: In a stunning turn of events, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic has been crowned the 71st Miss World. The grand finale, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, witnessed a night of glamour and excitement as contestants from 112 countries competed for the coveted crown.
Krystyna's win comes after a fierce competition that saw Sini Shetty of India making it to the Top 12 and later the Top 8. Despite not making it to the final four, Sini's journey was remarkable, showcasing her grace and elegance. Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon is the First Runner-Up at the pageant while Aché Abrahams of Trinidad and Tobago and Lesego Chombo of Botswana also made it to the top 4. The Beauty with A Purpose Award went to Brazil for this edition of the pageant.
Krystyna Pyszková, 24, is a student, volunteer, and international model. She is currently pursuing dual degrees in Law and Business Administration while also working in the modelling industry. Additionally, she is the founder of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation and actively supports its initiatives. One of her most significant achievements, as stated by the Miss World Organization, was establishing an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania, where she also volunteers. Apart from her academic and philanthropic pursuits, Krystyna enjoys playing the transverse flute and the violin. She has a strong passion for music and art, having attended an Art Academy for nine years.

The event was graced by former Miss World Megan Young and renowned filmmaker Karan Johar, who co-hosted the evening. The stage was further lit up by performances from Neha Kakkar and Tony Kakkar, adding to the spectacle of the evening.
The judging panel, which included Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, actress Kriti Sanon, and others, had a tough task selecting the winner among the talented contestants. Krystyna's win as the 71st Miss World marks a historic moment in the pageant's legacy.
The event also saw Nita Ambani being honoured with the Miss World Humanitarian Award for her outstanding work at the Reliance Foundation.
