Neru Movie OTT Release:
According to OTTplay, the OTT rights of 'Neru' have been sold to Disney+ Hotstar.
The movie focuses on Sara, a blind sculptor, trying to seek justice after suffering from trauma but struggling to deal with the legal system.
'Neru' was earlier involved in the controversy due to its plagiarism allegation. Addressing the allegations, director Jeethu Joseph wrote on FaceBook, "It's just a few hours left for 'Neru,' directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal and Priyamani, to reach you. Similar to my approach in other films, 'Neru' has been crafted with utmost sincerity and enthusiasm. However, in the days leading up to the film's release, a controversy has emerged. A person has claimed rights to the story of 'Neru' and has taken the matter to court. The synopsis of the person's claim, along with case files, has been circulating on social media. I urge the audience to discern the truth after watching the film in theatres tomorrow. - Jeethu Joseph."

In an interview with Moneycontrol, Jeethu Joseph talked about the biggest challenge of making courtroom drama. He said, "I asked Shanti to write down in order as to how the legal procedures would unfold for such a case. But once she wrote it, I realised that it would be ideal for a series but there are different sets of challenges when you package it for a film. Also, there is a risk of monotony that can creep into the narrative. So the challenge was to keep it engaging and play to the gallery a bit without taking away the authenticity."
The movie is directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced and distributed by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas.
