Aquaman 2 Release Date: Jason Momoa's film, which was originally scheduled for the Christmas weekend, has now finalised its release date. In a strategic move, the Jason Momoa-led sequel adjusted its release, sidestepping a clash with superstar Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Dunki.' Initially slated for a simultaneous release on December 22 alongside 'Dunki,' 'Aquaman 2' will now hit the screens a day earlier in India, on December 21. To confirm the same, Warner Bros. also unveiled a new poster.

With this, DC film enthusiasts in India will be able to catch the Aquaman sequel a day earlier than its international release. Directed by James Wan, Aquaman 2 features a cast including the controversial Amber Heard, along with Nicole Kidman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren and Patrick Wilson among others. It promises a thrilling return to the underwater realm, with Jason reprising his role as the iconic hero. The film's excitement is further amplified by the addition of Indya Moore and Jani Zhao to the ensemble.

As the Hollywood release gears up to premiere alongside SRK's film, the competition at the box office remains uncertain.

About Dunki

Shah Rukh Khan's highly anticipated collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani, titled 'Dunki,' has been generating significant buzz. Featuring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal alongside SRK, the film is set to commence filming on December 22. On Diwali, new posters of the film were released. In one poster, the Bollywood superstar is depicted giving a scooter ride to Taapsee and Vikram Kochhar, while Anil Grover is seen cycling beside them, with a festive 'Happy Diwali' tag. The second poster captures Khan and Kaushal striking a pose in a classroom setting.

'Dunki' narrates the story of friends who embark on a journey to a foreign country to pursue their aspirations, leaving their homeland. Celebrating the essence of friendship and love, the movie draws inspiration from 'Donkey Flight,' an illegal method used for clandestine entry into countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States of America.

Produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, the film stands as Shah Rukh Khan's inaugural collaboration with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal.
