Film producer Boney Kapoor has shared a major update about the much-awaited sequel to Mom. The 2017 thriller starring late actress Sridevi received immense love from audiences and performed well at the box office. Now, excitement around ‘Mom 2’ has increased after Boney Kapoor confirmed that work on the film has already started and shooting is currently taking place at the newly developing International Film City near the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida.
Boney Kapoor Shares Big Mom 2 Update
Boney Kapoor recently attended a book launch event in Delhi, where he opened up about his upcoming film Mom 2. While speaking to ANI, he confirmed that the project is officially in progress. The film is a sequel to the 2017 hit movie Mom, which featured Sridevi in the lead role.
The producer’s announcement has created excitement among fans who have been waiting for updates on the sequel for a long time.
Mom 2 Shooting Already Underway In Noida Film City
According to Boney Kapoor, filming for the project has already begun. He revealed that ‘Mom 2’ is being shot at the new International Film City being developed along the Yamuna Expressway near Greater Noida.
The producer also shared that this is the first project to begin shooting at the upcoming film city, making it a special milestone for the location as well as the movie.

Karishma Tanna And Jisshu Sengupta Join Mom 2

Speaking about the cast and crew, Boney Kapoor said, “The shooting of Mom 2 is happening here. Girish Kohli, who wrote ‘Mom’, is directing the film. I and my partner Akshay Puri are producing it. South action director Vijayan is handling the action.”
He further added that Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta and actress Karishma Tanna are also part of the film, with Karishma playing an important role.
