Ansiba Hassan, who is well-known for playing Anju George in the Drishyam series starring Mohanlal, has recently drawn notice because of the ongoing Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) resignation controversy. The actress, who rose to fame with the Drishyam franchise, has since established herself in both Tamil and Malayalam movies.
Ansiba Hassan revealed some shocking information regarding her membership in AMMA. She said that after being appointed joint secretary of AMMA, she had considerable emotional distress. She further stated that she resigned from AMMA in February due to internal strife and a lack of leadership support.
Why Did Ansiba Hassan Quit AMMA?
Ansiba Hassan said that she was told by another group member that Malayalam actor Tiny Tom had called her a 'jihadi' accused her of trying to convert to another religion, and shared false information about her private life. She also wondered if her Muslim status was the reason she was being singled out.

For those who are unaware, Tiny Tom is a well-known character actor, comedian, and actor from Malayalam who began his career as a mimic. He first became well-known as Mammootty's body double before acting in movies like Indian Rupee and Pranchiyettan & the Saint.

Ansiba Hassan further stated that she was emotionally distressed and felt unsupported when an executive committee member filed a false police complaint against her.
The Drishyam 3 actress said that on February 21, she presented her resignation to the AMMA, citing job pressure and personal reasons. However, she had disclosed the true reasons for her decision to the organisation's secretary in private.

Ansiba Hassan, who emphasises that she is the family's main provider and now has few film prospects, added that she first held back from expressing her worries out of concern for possible career repercussions.
