BTS Jungkook is the youngest member of the popular Kpop band. Following his military discharge, the young Kpop sensation has been making news with his return to Instagram. The star got his military discharge on June 11, 2025, and bounced back on his social media in July. Since then, he has been using his social media to interact with other BTS members and his army of fans. Recently, during a Weverse live, Jungkook revealed that a Netflix animated movie called KPop Demon Hunters kept him hooked.
BTS Jungkook admitted in his live session that the climax was super emotional, and the scene where the male lead Jinu sacrificed himself for Rumi made him cry a lot. He continued to explain that it was the buildup of the storyline that made him all sentimental. He also couldn’t stop himself from singing along to one of its most viral tracks - Soda Pop by the fictional boy band, Saja Boys.
He said, “I cried watching KPop Demon Hunters. I really cried at the end. When everyone was falling for Saja Boys and she was like, ‘I’ll create my own honmun’ and ran into the venue by herself - I was like ‘ohhh’ and then the tears came out. It was honestly sad.” After his live session, fans quickly reacted to Jungkook’s adorable revelation.

A fan called him, “Hyperfixation final boss.” Another one mentioned, “He’s so real. We love you jungkook.” A third user said, “JUNG KOOK CAME LIVE and said he cried watching KPOP DEMON HUNTERS, especially the SAJA BOYS X HONMOON scene. He called Jinu a fool. He did a dance step from the movie, and even sang the songs! His soft heart & pure excitement. Our Kookie Fanship is REAL.” One more user expressed its love and wrote, “My softhearted boy. my hopeless romantic. I adore you endlessly.”
This is not the first time that a BTS member has mentioned the KPop Demon Hunters. Earlier this month, BTS leader RM also talked about the movie during one of BTS’ OT7 live and shared that after watching the film, he found himself singing the Soda Pop song frequently.
