Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 has landed in controversy after the Delhi High Court directed the Centre and CBFC to review allegations linked to national security concerns and possible Official Secrets Act violations. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) claimed the film may have exposed sensitive information related to India’s armed forces and defense operations through certain scenes and references.

Serious Allegations Raised Against Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2 

As per ANI reports, the petition was filed by Deepak Kumar, a head constable in the Sashastra Seema Bal. In the plea, he claimed that Dhurandhar 2 contains information connected to confidential military operations. According to the petitioner, the movie openly shows several important locations and includes references linked to senior officers and deceased soldiers.

The plea argued that revealing such details publicly may create security risks for the country. It also claimed that the film mentions a special drug allegedly developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation. The petitioner requested authorities to closely review the content before allowing public release.

Delhi HC Orders Probe Into Dhurandhar 2 Sensitive Information Row 

The Delhi High Court took note of the concerns raised in the petition. A division bench led by Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela asked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the CBFC to examine the issue carefully.

The court stated that although Dhurandhar 2 appears to be a fictional story, the concerns highlighted in the petition cannot be ignored completely. The bench also stressed that the censor board should follow proper guidelines while reviewing films dealing with sensitive national matters.

Delhi High Court Seeks Thoughtful Decision

During the hearing, the court observed that films connected to military or security subjects require careful examination. It added that authorities must make a balanced and thoughtful decision after reviewing the allegations.

The matter has now drawn public attention as discussions continue around creative freedom, censorship, and national security in Indian cinema.
