Peddi will debut in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on July 9, while the Hindi version will follow later, according to Netflix. Janhvi Kapoor, Boman Irani, Divyenndu, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Ravi Kishan all play significant parts in the Ram Charan-led Telugu sports drama. Peddi was a major theatrical event in Telugu, but the Hindi-dubbed version told an entirely different story.

Peddi Becomes Ram Charan's Lowest Earning Hindi Movie

Peddi struggled to find an audience beyond the Telugu-speaking belt, finishing as Ram Charan’s lowest-grossing Hindi release. The Hindi version has now become Ram Charan’s lowest-grossing Hindi movie. Here's how much it earned after four weeks in the Northern region:

Ram Charan's Movie Box Office Collection In Hindi (Net)

  • RRR - Rs 277 crore
  • Game Changer - Rs 37.47 crore
  • Peddi - Rs 29.51 crore (sacnilk)

The Hindi version of Peddi has not performed well, suggesting that the popularity Ram Charan gained with RRR has not yet turned into a loyal fan base in the Hindi market.

The film, however, has done fairly well in its home market of Telugu-speaking states. According to Sacnilk, the sports drama minted Rs 338.98 crore gross worldwide, including Rs 286 crore in India.

About Peddi Movie

Peddi blends action, cricket, and poignant narrative, in addition to a conventional sports movie. The protagonist of the tale is a talented cricket player who will play for any side as long as he receives compensation. After meeting Appalasuri, a resolute peasant who has fought for years to have his hamlet formal status and a railway halt, his perspective on life is altered.

Inspired by Appalasuri's commitment, the cricket player starts to see life beyond wealth and achievement. He develops into an athlete who is willing to make sacrifices for those around him under the direction of Gournaidu, his Pehelwaani instructor.

The movie examines themes of accountability, selflessness, and utilising one's abilities for a higher good.

Additionally, Shruti Haasan makes an appearance in a unique dance sequence that generated a lot of conversation before the movie's release. The sports drama, which opened to mixed reviews, got entangled in controversy concerning the hyper sexualisation of Janhvi Kapoor's character, Achiyamma.
