Actor Preity Zinta has been making headlines ever since IPL 2025 kicked off. However, she has been the topic of discussion with her involvement in the game. Recently, the actress shared her disappointment after the fake photos of her with Rajasthan Royals’ 14-year-old cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi were widely spread online. Surprised to see that people are actually believing the fake news. Preity clarified that this is a morphed image.

She also reposted another link to a regional news report about the viral video and wrote, “Fake news with morphed image”.

On Monday, the Rajasthan Royals’ official X account posted a video featuring Preity meeting Vaibhav after the match between PKBS and the Rajasthan Royals. They captioned the post, “Flex levels at school: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi." The clip shows the actress chatting with Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, then she walked up to Vaibhav, and they shook hands. They were seen talking for a while. However, a deepfake video of them hugging started circulating online, which has upset her.

Besides cheering for her team, Preity is gearing up for a comeback to the big screen after a long hiatus. She made her last appearance in the 2018 film Bhaiaji Superhit. She will be seen in Rajkumar Santoshi's much-anticipated movie Lahore 1947. The film is being produced by Aamir Khan under his banner. Lahore 1947 also stars Sunny Deol in the lead role alongside Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal in key roles.
