Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana boasts a wonderful star cast including actors like Ranbir Kapoor, who will be seen as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The supporting cast includes Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Rakul Preet Singh and others. Actress Indira Krishna, who will be playing Ranbir Kapoor’s reel-mother Kaushalya, recently opened up about her bond with the actor and revealed how kind and humble Ranbir is. She also praised him for being a great father to Raha.

Indira Krishna recently recalled some sweet moments during an interview with NDTV, which made her believe that Ranbir Kapoor is a dedicated father. She recounted, “He told me Raha is his dal chawal. The simplicity and love with which he talks about his daughter - it stayed with me.” The actress also mentioned that Ranbir Kapoor used to ask her about her son Anirudh’s favourite books so that he could also enjoy them with his daughter Raha. “Every day he would remind me, 'Ma'am, did you get the books for Raha?’” she said. Ranbir also formed a great bond with Indira’s son Anirudh as the duo discussed everything, from board exams to parenting advice.

The actress continued to share another incident and revealed that once, the Animal star showed up on the sets with a slight limp. “I asked him what happened, and he said, ‘There was a race, Indira ji… I ran for Raha. And I came first.’ He'd pulled a muscle but still showed up to work like nothing happened. That’s Ranbir. A father before anything else,” she said.

Indira Krishna also shared that she has never seen any star with such a big stature treat people the way he does. She recalled that he would go out of his way to pull up a chair for her and indulge in thoughtful conversations.

Both actors will be next seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited directorial - Ramayana, which is slated for a November 2026 release. Produced by Namit Malhotra, the movie is divided into two parts; part one is scheduled for Diwali 2026 release, and part two is scheduled for Diwali 2027 release.
