Rupali Ganguly Reshares Video Criticising Alia Bhatt’s Leather Look At Milan Fashion Week
The original video, created by social media user Sai Lohith, raised specific and disturbing allegations regarding the materials used in Alia Bhatt’s ensemble. It claimed that the leather was sourced from extremely young animals, stating that “3-month-old baby calves and 4-month-old baby lambs” were used in the manufacturing process.

The social media creator questioned, "Is this what you support Alia?" The criticism also focused on her accessories, specifically the Gucci Horsebit 1955 shoulder bag. The speaker further questioned, "Your cat, Edward, how would you feel if someone murdered your son and used his skin to make bags and shoes?" The video went on to accuse Gucci brand of “exploiting snakes, crocodiles, silkworms, cows, sheep, and goats.”
Meanwhile, a major point of contention in the viral post was the perceived contradiction between Alia Bhatt’s fashion choices and her personal brand. Alia founded 'CoExist by Alia Bhatt', an initiative designed to promote a harmonious relationship between humans, animals, and the environment. The video creator pointed out, stating, "If this is the idea of your co-existence, then the animals are doomed."
As of now, Alia Bhatt has not issued a statement or responded to the controversy surrounding her Milan Fashion Week appearance. Currently, she is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movies Alpha and Love & War.
