Veteran actor Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on Monday. The prominent figures of Bollywood were all present at the cremation ground, bidding their final goodbye to the 'He-Man'. After the ceremony, from Shah Rukh Khan to Amitabh Bachchan, the actors took to their social media to express their heartfelt condolences and mourn the demise of the legend. Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan, also posted a picture with Dharmendra and penned down an emotional message.

Ibrahim Ali Khan and late actor Dharmendra worked together on the set of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, where Ibrahim worked as an Assistant Director. He posted a picture of himself sitting with the late actor Dharmendra and wrote, "Some people aren’t just stars on screen, they change the course of lives." He further explained how the legendary actor changed their lives forever. "Dharam Ji discovered my mother in Delhi when she was only 16, and trusted her with her first film Betaab. If it wasn’t for him, she may never have left Delhi… and we might not even exist. It’s overwhelming to think that our entire journey, our family, our place in this industry, all of it, began because of him. A man whose kindness shaped destinies," he wrote.

He further added, "My heart goes out to the entire Deol family, May they find strength through this difficult time. Rest in peace, sir. You will live on forever”.

In the post, Ibrahim mentioned that Amrita was just 16 when Dharam Ji found her in Delhi and not long after, Dharmendra cast her alongside his son, Sunny Deol, making the movie Betaab as their debut film. Betaab was released in 1983. It was written by Javed Akhtar and directed by Rahul Rawail. The movie was a major hit as it offered a fresh chemistry between the actors, soulful music by RD Burman and beautiful cinematography, which helped the debutants launch their respective careers.

Legendary actor Dharmendra took his last breath at his residence in Mumbai. His final rites took place at the Vile Parle Crematorium. His family and friends from the industry gathered to pay their respects and bid the star a final goodbye.
