Nitesh Tiwari's cinematic adaptation of 'Ramayana' has sparked considerable buzz in Bollywood. Expected to be a monumental project, the cast and crew have been tight-lipped about its details. Ranbir Kapoor is slated to portray Lord Ram, with Sai Pallavi cast as Sita. While fans are eagerly awaiting this interpretation, the filming currently underway in Mumbai’s Film City. Sets have been erected in Josh Maidan and Helipad for the production. Amid this, the film's working title has been revealed. Furthermore, filming for 'Ramayana' may extend beyond the initially planned schedule.

The Mumbai shoot for the Ranbir Kapoor starrer has been ongoing for a while now. Consequently, Ranbir is expected to commence shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love And War' around August or September this year. According to News18, "Ranbir will continue shooting for Ramayana and begin the prep for Love And War in the second half of August or early September simultaneously. While Alia will get busy with filming YRF’s upcoming spy thriller with Sharvari Wagh, Ranbir will dive into script reading sessions and discussions with Bhansali before beginning its shoot. Bhansali, in fact, will begin Love And War with him as the latter may reach the conclusion of the shoot of the first part of the Ramayana trilogy by November. The shoot of Love And War will begin in Mumbai but a set for the same is yet to be constructed."

"The film will have some elaborate song sequences and for the same, Bhansali is personally still in discussions with his production design team. As for Vicky, when he will join the shoot still remains unclear."

Ramayana's working title

The working title of 'Ramayana' is 'God Power.' Additionally, the production team has strategically opted to shield the sets from all angles and conduct indoor shooting to prevent unauthorised image leaks. Curtains have been installed all around, and surveillance has been intensified.

The legendary tale is poised to unravel across a trilogy, with Sunny Deol reportedly stepping into the shoes of Lord Hanuman. After investing over five years in pre-production, the project guarantees a meticulously crafted cinematic experience, prioritizing both narrative depth and visual spectacle. While speculation swirled about 'KGF' star Yash portraying Ravana, he has officially confirmed his involvement in 'Ramayana' as a co-producer, with no official announcement regarding his on-screen role.
