Salman Khan is currently gearing up for his upcoming movie Sikandar. The actor recently joined director AR Murugadoss and friend Aamir Khan for a chat for his YouTube channel, in which he opened up about working with heaving security on the film’s set. Salman shared that despite having a tough shooting in several outdoor locations, everything went well. During the chat, Aamir asked Murugadoss and Salman if it was a challenging shoot. To which the director said, “Yes. We shot at railway stations, from night till day. We had to take care of security issues. In real locations, there were around 200 people on the buildings, watching.”
Salman Khan then added, “Security ka taam jham kaafi tha because real locations the. Outdoor tha (There was a lot of security involved because of real locations, and we were shooting outdoors). So we had to be very careful. But by the grace of God, all went well.”
During the shooting of Sikandar, Salman Khan received multiple death threats. This led to heightened security measures around them during the outdoor shoots. Reportedly, the actor received death death-threatening message from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in November 2024. The message stated that he has to either apologise or pay Rs 5 crore to stay alive. After this, security was also tightened near his Galaxy apartment in Mumbai.
Coming back to Sikandar, the plot revolves around a fiery youth, who confronts a powerful network of corruption. He fights for the rights of the common people in a nation gripped by injustice. The movie features Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Smita Patil, Nawab Shah and Chaitanya Choudhry in key roles. It has been directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the production banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
