Sankranthiki Vasthunam OTT Update

In a significant development, it has been announced that Zee has acquired the satellite and post-theatrical streaming rights for Sankranthiki Vasthunam, according to a report in 123Telugu. The platform has reportedly offered a substantial sum of Rs 27 crores to the film's producers, underscoring the movie's immense commercial potential. As is customary with Telugu films, Sankranthiki Vasthunam is expected to make its digital debut four weeks after its theatrical release.

The narrative of the film revolves around the intriguing character of Yadagiri Damodhar Raju, portrayed by the esteemed actor Venkatesh. Raju, a retired police officer, has retreated to a peaceful life in Rajahmundry, where he resides with his loving wife, Bhagyalakshmi, played by the talented Aishwarya Rajesh. The couple's serene existence, however, is disrupted by a dramatic turn of events. A prominent tech entrepreneur, Satya Akella, enacted by Srinivas Avasarala, is kidnapped upon his return to Telangana, sending shockwaves throughout the region.

As the plot unfolds, the Chief Minister intervenes, assigning a skilled police officer, Meenakshi, played by Meenakshi Chaudhary, to spearhead the rescue mission. Interestingly, Meenakshi also happens to be Raju's ex-girlfriend, adding a layer of complexity to the narrative.
