xXx's actor Vin Diesel engaged in a steamy on-screen lip lock with Charlize Theron during 'Fast and Furious 8.' This scene generated substantial chatter, extending beyond the kiss itself. An indirect exchange of words emerged between the actors. Charlize Theron, portraying Cipher, once commented that Diesel kisses like a 'dead fish'. In response, Vin Diesel's reaction to her statement created quite a stir in the dialogue.

Back then, Diesel shared his excitement over the much-talked-about kissing scene. With a wide smile, he expressed his enthusiasm to USA Today about Charlize Theron as a kissing partner, stating, "I was definitely not complaining." He called that scene "the biggest moment in trailer history," and shared that it was a hit for the actress as well. "Do I know she enjoyed it? Oh, my god, yeah," Diesel affirmed. However, Charlize Theron remained thoroughly unimpressed by his remarks. She appeared on the Ellen show and said, "He’s literally going around saying I had the best time of my life. They’re like, ‘Do you think she liked it?" and he’s like, 'Oh yeah, oh yeah, she loved it'."

She further went on speak about their smooch and said, "I like a little bit more movement in my men… And he’s standing there, as his character should’ve, frozen, like a dead fish." The actress also said, "It looks like I'm assaulting his face with my mouth."

Later, Diesel appeared on the Ellen show and reacted to the 'dead fish' comment. "What?! C'mon guys! Do I look like a dead fish?" Diesel stated. He added, "First of all, you don't come on Ellen with the wonderful animation of Finding Dory and compare me to a dead fish."
