Challengers Sex Scene Sparks Controversy In India

The movie ‘Challengers’ includes steamy sex scenes involving the three main characters, which has led fans in India to speculate about its fate with the local Censor Board. Given the conservative nature of the board, often referred to humorously as 'sanskari', viewers are curious whether this particular sex scene was allowed to remain in the film or if it was cut out before its release in Indian theaters.

A major point of discussion regarding the film has been a provocative threesome scene that, to the surprise of many, was included in the version of the movie released in India. Interestingly, even though this steamy scene was retained in the final cut, the censor board chose to blur out two other scenes in the film. Notably, these blurred scenes were not related to any explicit content. This decision has sparked curiosity about the criteria used by the censor board to determine what is acceptable for audiences and what is not.

The American romantic sports drama movie Challengers is currently running in theatres. The movie stars Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O’ Connor in the lead role, the movie explores the intense worlds of tennis, sex, and rivalry.
